DOC: We Jam Econo – The Story of the Minutemen

We Jam Econo is the story of the tragically short-lived punk/funk/indie/jazz/rock trio, the Minutemen. Ostensibly about the history of the band, the doc is heavily informed by the deep bond between childhood friends Mike Watt and D. Boon (but don’t forget George. George plays drums. And how.). Featuring everything from ideological rants to putting music to their landlord’s notes, their songs are usually under one minute in duration… though that’s apparently not why they call themselves “Minutemen.” Blink your ears and you’ll miss’em! DIY!
